Living in Sin is the New Thing

"Six months of experiance freely given. And people say I'm not nice."

My inability to 'pretend to look busy' is really starting to become a problem. Just half an hour before going back, a manager asked me to do some grunt work. He must have heard somewhere that I have the ability to drive, so he sent me out to the middle of nowhere to vouch some documents.

The instructions were easy enough, go to the client and vouch everything, they would have prepared everything to vouch by the time I got there. Easy. Yeah right, from my vast 6months experience, I know that nothing as simple as it may seem is straight forward. There's always gonna be some problem or another.

So the next day, I woke up realizing that it was raining. Great. If normal days weren't bad enough with the traffic, the rain made it ten times worse. Just woke up for 2minutes and the day has gotten off to a bad start.

As I guessed, the traffic was horrible. Should have gotten there in an 45 minutes, but the rain+jam made it 1 and a half. Even though the manager gave me very vague directions, my GPS like brain made it no problem to get to the area. The only problem was when I actually got there. I have no idea how you could get the name of the Company wrong. Spent 20 minutes looking for a non-existent name.

The real shock came when I had to do the vouching. To my complete and absolute surprise there was no problem what so ever. All the documents were prepared like they said they would. Everything was there, nothing missing. So all I had to do was vouch. Damn, miracles do happen. To make things even more better, the food at the canteen was not only excellent, it was damn cheap. So after a bad start to the day, it actually went pretty well.

So, all in all, a pretty perfect audit I would have to say. Even had time to hang out with freinds at Hakim and drink Teh O Suam. Nothing better than a hot cup of Teh O Suam on a rainny day. Getting back also was no problem. The first time using this one route to avoid the traffic. Got out the toll, straight away found the road that would lead me to the office. Nice.

It was a good 20minutes later that I realized that while I was on the correct road, I was going the opposite direction.

Today, I rode a Forklift.......

"What was supposed to be a happy year didn't turn out so well. I can't wait for this crappy year to be done with"

Back when I worked at the small firm, I used to love doing stock take. It usually meant casual clothes and halfday of work. So I was eagerly anticipating this years stock take at my new 'bigger' firm. Started out good enough, wore a tshirt and jeans. But thats when the fun stopped. What followed was hours and hours of counting dusty scrap metal. Thankfully, no more stock take in the near future.

But, the best thing about today was that I got to ride a forklift....

My view from atop the forklift. The greatest view.

Good Luck for the Future

"A special shout out to my intern, feel free to write on here anytime. You're always welcome. And one more thing, if you never ever listen to anything I say after this, just listen to this. DO YOUR ACCAs FULL TIME. Ok, it's been nice knowing you. Don't be a stranger."

Since all the talk is about New Moon nowadays, I think it's only right that I give my two cents worth on the subject.

Yes, I have watched the movie. With who? I would like to say some hot babe, but that would be stretching it a bit.
Usually when it comes to movies from books, I prefer to read the original first before seeing the adaptation on film, but with Twilight, it's an exception since it took me 2 whole months just to finish the book. Yes, it was that bad. The movie? I just watched it on tv a few days ago for the first time. Yes, still bad. Well, enough about Twilight, lets move on to New Moon.

Straight out I would like to say I was pleasantly surprised. Came with zero hope what so ever but it turned out not bad.

Let me just list down a few of the negatives first:
1) Jacob Black really need to get some acting lessons.
2) The pacing of the story needs some work. It lags in certain parts then in the best bits it goes by too fast.
3) The movie lacks a dominant baddie.
4) Edward is a douche.

Four negatives is enough for now I think. Now for something I never thought I would say... the good thing about New Moon. The first movie with just Bella and Edward was barf inducing. I can see why the girls would like it, but for guys, I think they would prefer a swift kick 'where the sun don't shine' than watching Twilight. But in New Moon, the whole Jacob Black character gives the movie a whole new dimension. It really has loads of potential. I enjoyed the bits where its Jacob and Bella cause there was actual life in the story. But the moment Edward gets in the picture again, it turns back into a snore fest. I love you, you love me.... ZzZZzzZzzz....

Oh yeah, one more thing... it felt really uncomfortable watching a bunch of half naked guy run around in the woods for 2 hours.

Well that's it, I never thought I would enjoy it but maybe that's what I get for hanging around a bunch of girls for the past 6 months. Just go into the movie with zero expectations........

Calm Before The Storm

"You walk fast2 lagi I'll tell the gang what you did to get that height of yours!"

Good Morning World

I have nothing to write, I just like these picture. They've been heavily edited that at first look, it looks damn ugly. But the more you look at it, the more it grows on you. I love it now. If you don't, then that's your problem. What the hell do you know?

Things have been a bit slow on the working side of life, not that I have any problem with it but as someone said, on a 'peningkatan kendiri' point of view, it might come back and bite me in the ass in the near future. It'll be squeaky bum time in a few days. Gotta get ready.

This new job seems different from the jobs I've been getting for the past six months. As the intern would say 'no shtinking meaty chicks'. But I love them meaty chicks. Still, this job does have its perks. The pantry really does look nice. (Mental note to self... check out the pantry on level 11 next week).

I just realized that both of these pics have the tongues sticking out. What a nice coincidence

The Art of Pretending to Look Busy

"I actually think I'm allergic to work. I wonder how I can get paid to do absolutely nothing. If only my last name was Hilton"

9.30am
I'm writing this today because I'm bored. There's nothing to do in the office and there's no one around to talk to. My first ever subordinate ditched me to spend the whole day asleep in bed. I wished I had thought of that this morning.
Supposed to be doing a new job, but because of some technicalities, it wont start till Thursday. So I'm sitting all alone with my 5th cup of coffee. Last week I was lucky enough to get to sit at the managers area (which suited me very find I would say), and with it all the perks of the managerial pantry area. The coffee somehow tastes a lot better (They wouldn't buy different brands of coffee for different levels of employees now would they? or wouldn't they?).

10.15am
My lack of skills in pretending I'm busy has gone and bitten me in the ass again. I got called in to do some grunt work. Checking 30 copies of reports to see if the page numbering are sequential. (Your lucky your on leave today intern, if not I would have passed it to you). My lack of enthusiasm seems to have been noticed by the senior (or is she?) and now she's giving me the evil eye. Who would have thought that the numbering weren't sequential. The pages 5 and 6 were mixed up. WOW! I just earned my pay for today. Who knows what sorta trouble would have come knocking if I hadn't noticed it.

12.30pm
Grunt work not quite finished yet, but I'm off to lunch. It isn't any fun eating without your friends, so I'll just buy some sardine bread at the nearby 7-11 and something else.

12.45pm
Sardine bread finished, now I'm off for my 2 minutes of alone time where I usually reflect on what I have achieved thus far in life. The 2 minute time frame is indicator enough to how much I have actually achieved in life. Nuff said.

1.30pm
Resume grunt work. Maybe if I finish early with this I can practise on perfecting my 'pretending to be busy' look. But before that, coffee number 6.

2.00pm
Grunt work finish. Since I've already earned my pay for the day, i'll just wait till 5.30pm and go back. 2.01pm???? wth? I thought it was 3.00pm already. Damn it.

2.10pm
No such luck, just got tons of work. Might not even get to go back early today. Just my luck.
Well, at least it's actual work.

5.35pm
Finished with work, wasn't as much as I first thought. Looks like I'll be going back early as planned. What? A call from home.... No hot dinner waiting for me when I get back??? This is unheard of. Ah well, McD it is then. Or maybe Subway.... but Subway don't have any side orders.... how bout KFC.... Mapley la easier and value for money.
